Corporate Renaissance Group SA (“CRGSA”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”) and other applicable law. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use www.crgsa.co.za (the “Website”), buy our products (including QFlo), or engage us for services, and how we use, share and protect that information.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and enquiry information – your name, email address, telephone number, company name and the content of your message when you use our contact form, live chat, email or phone us.
  • Order and account information – your name, billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number, VAT number (if applicable) and order history when you buy products from our online shop.
  • Client and project information – business contact details and any information you provide to us in the course of a software, hardware, consulting, hosting or support engagement.
  • Marketing preferences – whether you have opted in to or out of receiving communications from us.

Payment information. Card and payment details are captured and processed directly by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical and usage data – IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring website, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit.
  • Cookies and similar technologies – see section 7 below.
  • Security data – server and firewall logs used to detect and prevent abuse, fraud and unauthorised access.

3. How we use your information

We process personal information only where we have a lawful basis under POPIA, namely your consent, the performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests (or those of a third party), provided those interests are not overridden by your rights. We use your information to:

  • respond to your enquiries and provide quotes;
  • process, deliver and support your orders, and handle returns and warranty claims;
  • deliver, maintain and support the services you have engaged us for;
  • send invoices and keep financial and tax records as required by law;
  • send you product updates, news or marketing, where you have consented or where you are an existing customer and have not opted out;
  • operate, secure and improve the Website, including protecting it against spam and abuse;
  • comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

4. Direct marketing

We will only send you electronic marketing if you have opted in, or if you are an existing customer and the marketing relates to similar products or services. Every marketing message includes a simple way to unsubscribe, and you may also opt out at any time by emailing info@crgsa.co.za.

5. Who we share your information with

We share personal information only where necessary, and only with parties (“operators”) who are contractually required to keep it confidential and secure. These include:

  • Payment processors – to process payments for online orders;
  • E-commerce and email service providers – such as SureCart (online shop) and Klaviyo (email communications);
  • Website service providers – such as Automattic/Jetpack (site statistics and security) and Google reCAPTCHA (spam protection);
  • Advertising partners – such as Google and Meta, where advertising or measurement tools are enabled;
  • Hosting and cloud providers – such as Microsoft Azure;
  • Couriers and logistics partners – to deliver physical products;
  • Professional advisers – such as our auditors, accountants and legal advisers;
  • Authorities – where we are required to do so by law, court order or a competent regulator.

6. Cross-border transfers

Some of our service providers store or process information outside South Africa (for example in the European Union or the United States). Where this happens, we take steps to ensure that the recipient is subject to a law, binding corporate rules or a binding agreement that provides an adequate level of protection, as required by section 72 of POPIA.

7. Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We use:

  • Essential cookies – required for the Website and shopping cart to work, and to keep it secure;
  • Analytics cookies – to understand how visitors use the Website so that we can improve it;
  • Marketing cookies – set by advertising partners to measure and personalise advertising.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Website, such as the shop, from working properly.

8. How we protect your information

We apply appropriate, reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, damage, and unauthorised access or processing. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections, firewalls, access controls, regular updates and backups, and confidentiality obligations on our staff and operators. If we have reasonable grounds to believe that your personal information has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorised person, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.

9. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. For example, financial and tax records are kept for at least five years as required by South African tax and company law. Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted when they are no longer needed. When information is no longer required, we delete, destroy or de-identify it.

10. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

  • ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to it;
  • ask us to correct, update or delete information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading or unlawfully obtained;
  • object to the processing of your personal information on reasonable grounds, and to direct marketing at any time;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Information Officer at info@crgsa.co.za. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Access requests are dealt with in accordance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).

The Website and our products and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

The Website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
